On Monday, May 27th, Tegner-Miller Insurance Brokers will be closed to commemorate Memorial Day.
First celebrated after the Civil War to honor the Confederate and Union war dead, Memorial Day now serves as a day to commemorate all American casualties of war.
Because it falls on the last Monday of May, Memorial Day is sometimes thought of as the unofficial beginning of summer and is a day spent picnicking and enjoying the weather. However, it is important to remember the true meaning of this important holiday. During your barbeque or trip to the beach, please take a moment to reflect on the millions of Americans who have given their lives to protect the freedoms of their countrymen and other citizens of the world.
TMIB will resume its regular hours at 8:30 am, Tuesday, May 28th.
